Welcome to The Langford Station, an arts and culture district in the heart of downtown Langford. Here you’ll find a creative ecosystem of local artists, retailers and food trucks, and on certain days, live music, events and more! Businesses and artist studios are guaranteed to be open year-round from Thursday to Sunday. Hours differ with each vendor, so please visit each listing below for more details. Outside of these days of the week, you will find food trucks open serving up tasty treats. The Creation Station provides an indoor community space for organizations to host events and workshops, and an event stage will bring local musicians and other performers to the district.
Langford Station is a flat, outdoor community space that’s been totally revitalized and runs for two blocks along Station Avenue; featuring shopping, food trucks, and local artists year-round. Most of the retrofitted shipping containers, which house the artist studios and shops offering their items for sale, are not wheelchair accessible, except for one, MOTHER.Lifestyle, which is double the size (40’) of the other shipping containers, and has a large and very accessible L shaped ramp. When I visited MOTHER.Lifestyle , which carries stylish, ethical children’s clothing and accessories (for home and beauty), there was decent space for me to manoeuvre inside, and the shopkeeper was friendly and helpful. Back outside, picnic benches, including an accessible picnic table, chess tables, and other seating choices line the avenue. For parking, there is one designated accessible parking space, but the parking lot is largely gravel and could pose a challenge for wheelchair users. There is a permanent washroom building with accessible stalls on site.
